Monkey Butler Improv

Thursday night means Monkey Butler Improv.  Level 2 Improv, which focuses on the Long Form, has been more difficult than Level 1.  Tonight we went back to the basics and worked on characters.  Each student had to stand up front as an individual and explore a bold character. After our instructor, Eric Reaser, felt like we had a bold character he would ask a student to jump up and improv three different types of scenes: A scene with the character at work, at home and at play.

This was a really great exercise.  It forced me to step outside my comfort zone and explore a different type of character.
