I had new headshots taken by the incredibly talented, Melissa Blue. Melissa has a great way of capturing the essence of your personality with her shots. She also is great at lighting, which really makes all the difference. I couldn’t be more happy with the different looks she captured. I posted a few of my favs, but what do you think? Which one is your favorite?

I also want to thank Lilia Ultreras for the flawless make up. The right make up in a headshot changes everything. Trust me, I’ve had my share of shots over the years. Lilia has an incredible eye and she is simply a pleasure to be around.
I’m so grateful to have worked with both of these ladies!
I recently had new headshots taken by Michael D’Ambrosia. This is my second time shooting with Michael. I first shot with him when I was was a fresh-faced new actor in LA. He was recommended by my agents at CU. Since they had asked for the new shots, I decided to shoot with him again.
With this session I was striving for 4 very specific looks: an approachable commercial look, a sweet Midwest mom, the icy upscale woman and the detective. I spoke at length about these looks with Alma, the Make-up Artist, and brought a number of clothing choices for each. Michael and Alma were really helpful. For instance Michael strongly suggested I wear the peach cardigan, which I originally brought as a back up. It turned out to be a great choice.
In fact, I’m thrilled with all my shots! Michael shoots outdoors in natural light, which I really liked.
Here are a couple of my favorite shots. These are unedited shots. To view more of my new headshots, click on the “Headshots” Link at the top of the page.

On Monday I had new headshots taken by David Muller. David has become my “go to” photographer for headshots. I shot with him on two other occasions and have always been thrilled with the results. I’ve been in LA for 7 years now and have shot with many photographers in the past, but I’ve had the best results with David. His headshots are clean, crisp and he has a way of making my eyes “pop” (there’s an old pageant term for you). And my commercial auditions tripled after my first session with him. Seriously.
I scheduled this new session with one goal in mind, a new commercial shot. I shot with David last year and have a variety of really great theatrical looks. But I’ve dropped 10 lbs since then (bye bye baby weight) so I wanted to try to capture a new commercial look. After a whirlwind 2 weeks of shopping for the “perfect shirt” (and buying 7 shirts in various styles and shade of blue), I popped over to Space 905 in Hollywood for our session.
Upon arriving I was warmly welcomed by Kate Hollinshead, David’s awesome assistant and Make Up Artist extraordinaire. Coincidentally enough, Kate and I first met on the set of a Tidy Cat Commercial in 2008. And I was floored when I bumped into her at again at my first session in 2009. She has become my “go to” Make Up Artist. She really has a knack for choosing the perfect colors for me so that I photograph well. And she has to be one the sweetest people I’ve ever met.
Since this is my 3rd time shooting with David and Kate, I am really comfortable with the two of them. They really are more like friends.
If you are looking for new headshots visit http://www.davidmullerphotography.com. I just cannot say enough good things about David Muller and Kate Hollinshead!!
David is a good sport. He snaps a photo with me for my blog after each headshot session with no complaints.
Last week I shot new photos with David Muller and I couldn’t be happier with the results. With David’s eye for photography and amazing lighting combined with the awesome work of the make up artist, Kate Hollinshead, I was able to achieve a variety of looks.

A sneak peak of Jennifer Keller's headshot session
On Monday I had new headshots taken by photographer, David Muller. In 2009, I shot with David and was really happy with my photos, so I scheduled with him again this time around. I was specifically targeting several looks with this shoot: “Young Commercial Mom”, “Quirky Commercial Mom”, “Jeep Mom” (notice a theme?), a good dramatic look, a “Senator’s Wife” and a character from “MadMen”. It’s amazing how you can change a look by adding glasses, jewelry and a change of background. I was able to achieve all these looks that way.
The shoot went really well. David is a gifted photographer. I also scheduled with make-up artist, Kate, who not only did my make up in 2009, but also for the Tidy Cat Commercial I worked on in 2008. She is one of the best around and I was thrilled with her work.
I will post photos online as soon as possible.

Thanks for all you support. It means a lot!
On Friday night I attended an Agent Workshop at AIA Actors Studio in Burbank, CA. This was my first time taking an agent workshop at AIA. The evening started of with a Q&A Session with Chris Ledford, agent at Amatruda, Benson & Associates. I have to say, I liked Chris Ledford. He was laid back and really cool about the myriad of questions he was asked. I could tell he really enjoyed the business of being an agent. After the Q&A’s, each actor was given 5 minutes to meet with Chris and perform a monologue or scene. I used a great little scene from a sitcom for my audition.
Overall I felt really good about my audition and I am really keeping my fingers crossed that Amatruda, Benson, & Associates is looking for my type!
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am looking to work on a play this summer. And today I was invited to audition at The Actors Forum Theater in North Hollywood, CA. I arrived for my audition and met the company director. I used a monologue for this audition. The Actors Forum Theater is looking for it’s next big project, and I am hoping they will keep me in mind!
Auditions have really slowed down in the past 2 weeks. So goes “The Business”. I popped in to see my agents at Commercials Unlimited the other day, and they are hoping that things will pick up again soon. On a side note, I just want to say I really like my agents at CU! They are so sweet and very supportive. I am a lucky girl!
During this “downtime” I have been looking for new opportunities for acting, specifically in theater. I would love to work on a play this summer, so I contacted several local theaters to see if anyone is holding auditions. My hard work has seemed to pay off! I have an audition for 2 plays at The Hollywood Fight Club: “A Few Good Men” and an original production called “Wiseguys” . I also have an audition for David Auburn’s “Proof” at The Sierra Madre Playhouse on Monday. I am so excited to 3 play auditions within a couple of days. I will keep you posted!
On Monday night I attended an Agent Workshop where I met Elyah Doryon, a Theatrical Agent at Coast to Coast Talent Agency. This was a huge class! I would guess there were at least 25 people signed up to meet Elyah, and I was the second to last person to perform. I used a fun little scene from a sitcom for my audition and I got a few laughs from the class!
Today I was called back to Broad-Cast for the K-Mart Commercial. I felt really great about my audition! The director even said that I “nailed it”. A lot of things go into a casting. It depends on what the client is looking for and what their target market it. Still, I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one!
Special thanks to Dan Cowan for calling me in for the audition!

On Monday night I attended an Agent Workshop at The Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood, CA. I met with Milton Perea, a Theatrical Agent at Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier Talent Agency. For this workshop I was given 5 minutes to meet Milton. I used a scene from a sitcom for my audition and after the scene I had a chance to sit down with Milton to talk about my goals in this Industry. I felt really good about my audition and I hope that Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier is interested!
Today Jenny at KSR Models sent me on a commercial print audition the Don Miller Studio in Downtown LA. The print campaign was for Corvel. The attire: business professional.
I arrived at the studio wearing my business suit and was greeted by photographer, Don, and his assistant Tina. Don was very nice. He took a bunch of photos, some with my hair up and some with it down. At the end of the session he told me I had a nice look at am an excellent candidate for this shoot. Let’s hope the client feels the same way!
Thursday was a great day! My wonderful agents at Commercials Unlimited scheduled me for two commercial auditions!
First stop was Lisa Pantone Casting at The Casting Lounge. The audition was for a Pillsbury spot. This was my first time auditioning for Lisa and I felt really great about my audition. Not only that, I met Lisa in the audition room and she was fantastic! Often at commercial auditions a casting assistant runs the audition and the casting director watches the live feed in another room. Lisa was very hands on and was very sweet to me. I am glad to have met her and I hope to audition for her again soon.
Second stop was Maryclaire Sweeters Casting. The audition was for a large Walmart Campaign. I have auditioned for Maryclaire Sweeters once before, but I think it was about a year ago. It was great to be called into her office again.
Overall I was very happy with both auditions. Thursday was a great day!

On Monday night I attended an Agent Workshop at The Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood, CA. I met with Harold Auguenstein, a Theatrical Agent at Abrams Artists. For this workshop I was given 5 minutes to meet Harold and to do my scene. I felt really good about my audition and I hope that Abrams Artist is looking for my type!
Today KSR Models sent me on an audition for Johnsonville Foods. The Audition was held at Armstrong Casting.
When my name was called, I met the photographer and he took a couple test shots. Let’s hope they like what they see!
Jenny at KSR put together a new Zed Card for me. The printer sent me a copy, and it looks great! Here it is:

Jennifer Keller poses for David Muller in "athletic attire"
On Tuesday I had new shots taken by David Muller. KSR Models asked for a number of looks for a Zed Card, including an Athletic, Young Mom, Business and Beauty look. I also had a couple headshots taken, specifically a dramatic shot and a “girl next door” shot.
I had a lot of fun at the shoot. David is a great photographer. I have admired his work for several months, and am glad I was finally able to schedule a session with him. And the make-up artist, Katie, was such a doll. Coincidentally enough, she had been one of the make-up artists at the Tidy Cat Commercial shoot! I recognized her right away. Katie and I chatted about weddings and her family in England which worked on my hair and make-up.
I should receive my photos by the end of the week! I can’t wait!
