Behind the scenes photo of actresses Jennifer Keller and Chanel Marriott with writer/director Bruce Marchiano.
January 12th was a beautiful day. It was the first day of filming for a faith-based independent feature film called “Alison’s Choice”. My teeth were chattering as I arrived at 6:30am on set in Arcadia, CA. I was greeted by the second AD, Frederick Gourgue, who introduced to the make up artist, Kristen Castellano. I enjoyed chatting over hot tea with our film’s star, Chanel Marriott.
I play Rita, a upscale mother of two, whose chance encounter with Alison influences her journey in the film.
“Alison’s Choice” writer/director, Bruce Marchiano, greeted everyone with a kind welcome and we jumped right into rehearsal and filming. For me acting is always a mix of joy and fear. I love my craft, but there is an element of vulnerability every time I step in front of the camera. There is that little voice in the back of my head that says, “don’t blow it”. And as I sat outside on that park bench with Chanel, my teeth chattering, I just had to tell that little voice to quiet down, to trust in the work I put into the character of Rita (as my favorite coach, Christinna Chancey, would remind me). One of the great things about working with Bruce on set is that he has a gift for encouragement. He has a kind word for everyone. And surprisingly, most actors will agree that is a rare on sets. And so I breathed life into the character of Rita that day and trusted in Bruce’s direction.
It was a pleasure to work with both Bruce and Chanel on this scene. I’ll be on pins and needles until I see the final product.

I booked a role in an Independent Feature Film! I start on Sunday and shoot 6 days over the next week and a half. I am very excited. Details will follow. Keep checking back!
A friend of mine is an actor and producer of a webisode called “Short Term”. “Short Term” is a web series that takes a comedic look at the day to day life at a Temp Agency. On Thursday, my friend asked if I would be interested in shooting a co-star role for the series finale. The scene called for a family, so she also asked if my husband and toddler daughter would be interested in filming . My husband is not pursuing a career in the business, but he is a real natural and was up for it.
The Saturday morning shoot went great. The scene was very sweet, I am grateful to have been a part of it. Though I have to say, I think my toddler stole the show. She was so sweet. She had a line, but in true toddler form, she added her own lines. Everyone on set was smiling. She did a great job. And, for the record, so did my husband.
We’ll be very excited to see the finale.
If you haven’t watched “Short Term” yet, check it out at http://www.shortterm.tv/

Check out my latest project, a short film called “Selective Memory”
Written and Directed by Thomas D. Moser
Starring Michael O’Hare Wallace, Katherine Phillips Moser and Jennifer Keller
Story: A man wakes up in a restaurant with no memory of how he got there. A wound, gun, and briefcase with just one photograph are his only clues about who he is.
On Tuesday I worked on a commercial print shoot! Company and Product TBA. But it was a fun shoot and I met a lot of really cool people. I am grateful for this opportunity.
Exciting news! I booked a new commercial print campaign! This is my second print booking this year.
Special thanks to Michelle Metzner at Currently Casting and to my awesome print agent, Aurora at KSR Models for submitting me.
Good news! I booked a commercial print campaign. Company and Product TBA. I shoot on Friday.
Special Thanks my print agent, Aurora, at KSR, to Yvonne Armstrong at Armstrong Casting for inviting me to audition, and to everyone involved in this Print Campaign for choosing me!
Its wild to think this year has flown by so quickly! This time last year I was very pregnant and featured in this Barnes and Noble NOOKcolor “Love of Reading” National Commercial:
On December 5th and 6th I worked on a “hush, hush” Independent Film. It was great to work on such a professional project. My scenes were rich with possibilities and gave me a lot to play with. I worked with a wonderful director and my fellow cast members were top-notch actors. And I had my own star-wagon trailer, how can you go wrong with that?
It is a lucky day when I have the opportunity to act on-screen. All the auditions, the driving all over LA, the ups and downs of the Industry are worth it when I’m actually on set….doing the work….doing what I love.
More information coming soon. Keep checking back.
If you haven’t spotted the Tidy Cat litter Commercial that I am blessed enough to be a part of, check it out now:
On October 21, 2010 I filmed a Barnes and Noble National Commercial. The product: the new Nookcolor E-reader. Since the commercial is now airing nationally, I wanted to post a couple of photos from set:
The "Waiting Room" actors
The commercial shot at an abandoned hospital in North Hollywood. Apparently the hit TV show, Scrubs, once shot at this same location.
And here is a photo of me looking very much like a “Waiting Room Pregnant Lady”:
No, that is not a fake bump! Jennifer Keller is 7 1/2 months pregnant in this commercial
Look what popped up in the “Parade” section of the Sunday Los Angeles Times:
My family actually spotted the 3/4 page ad in “Parade” section of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. What a pleasant surprise!
Also, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the National Tidy Cat Littler commercial that I shot along with the print ad!
Super exciting news! I BOOKED A NATIONAL COMMERCIAL! This commercial is for a new product, so I signed a confidentiality agreement saying I cannot talk about the product or parent company until the commercial begins to air. It shoots later this week.
This is my fourth commercial booking and third national commercial. I feel very blessed. Special thanks my agent Randi at CU for submitting me!

Today I completed Day Two of filming the indie feature film “Wedding Day”. I play one of two brides getting married in the film. In this scene my character, Brooke Mason, is leaning on her college sorority sister, Beverly (played by Natalie Howe) to coordinate her wedding. Brooke has stopped by the reception location to speak with Beverly.
Here I am on set with my co-star:

Yesterday I completed Day One of filming the feature film “Wedding Day”. “Wedding Day” is a multi-character and storyline feature in the vein of “Crash” that centers around 2 couples getting married and the catering company hired for both weddings.
I play Brooke Mason, a bride-to-be from an affluent family. Today we shot the opening scene where the audience is introduced to Brooke and Cody (played by Daniel Long)the morning of their wedding.
Here I am on set with my co-star:

Filming for “Wedding Day” the feature film is gearing up to start on July 8th. Day One of filming starts with the scenes between my character Brooke and her fiance Cody. Today I coached with Christinna Chauncey. I have been studying with Christinna for over a year and I really respect her. I felt great about the work that we did today and I look forward to the big shoot on Thursday.
In May I was cast as a print model for the Lynnina Swimwear line.
And now the Lynnina Swimwear website is up and you can catch a glimpse of me on the homepage. Check out the new website to see for yourself: http://www.lynnina.com/
Tuesday I filmed “Sleep Lab”, a new pilot presentation. A pilot presentation is a proposed TV show that will be optioned to Networks upon completion. The pilot presentation gives a general idea of the look and feel of the proposed show.
“Sleep Lab” centers around the doctors, employees and patients at a California Sleep Clinic. I play Kim, a “goodie two shoes” who is an excellent sales person and always gets the full amount due from the insurance company. The location: a property in Llano, CA, which is almost 2 hours outside of Los Angeles. The scene: the three insurance collectors are collecting the premiums due from the insurance companies.
Here I am on set:
Jennifer Keller and the other Insurance Collectors in a new Pilot Presenation "Sleep Lab"
I have been cast in a pilot presentation called “Sleep Lab” and today we had a table read with the other characters. A Pilot Presentation is a Pilot that has not been picked up by a network yet, but rather is being shot to package and sell to the network as a complete package. I play Kim, an Insurance Collector at the Sleep Lab who is very good at her job. The Table Read was a lot of fun. I am looking forward to filming next week!
I booked a commercial print assignment for Lynnina Swim Wear and the shoot day was on Sunday in Pacific Palisades, CA. I arrived 15 minutes early for my call time and admired the beautiful home that we were shooting in. Once inside, I was greeted by Owner/Designer of Lynnina Swimwear, Lynn Werner. Lynn is very nice and made me feel right at home. She whisked me to hair and make up where I met the other 2 models, Hannah and Danielle, who were also repped by KSR Models. What a nice treat for my agents.
After I finished in hair and make up, I was taken to wardrobe where I was given my first swimsuit for photos. I also wore 3 other suits in different styles and colors. I like the Lynnina line. The shorts were very comfortable and flattering and a nice balance to the bikini tops.

Everyone was so kind on set. Lynn had recruited most of her family to participate in the shoot, both on camera and behind the scenes. I thought this was really neat. It made me miss my family in Ohio.
The weather was projected to be a little on the cool side the day of the shoot, so I had brought a cozy sweater, extra blanket and my warm boots. Luckily it was sunny even though a little cool. I wore my sweater and boots in between takes.
Overall it was a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Lynn Werner for choosing me to be a part of her website. And make sure you check out the Lynnina Swim Line online at http://www.lynnina.com/. The website will be available in June 2010.
I started getting calls two days ago that I have been spotted in People Magazine! Sure enough, I picked up a magazine at the grocery store and on page 40 there is a half page Tidy Cat Litter Advertisement with my smiling face on it! What a hoot! If you have a chance, stop by the store and pick up a magazine and see for yourself!
Exciting News! I have been cast as Kitty in “A Simple Conversation”, and AFI Film Project! Filming begins in two weeks. Check back for updates!
Exciting news! My American Express Commercial has been renewed for another 13 weeks! The commercial highlights the rewards that cardholders can earn by using their card. In my section of the commercial I have “whisked” my commercial husband off to Italy with our airline miles.
Good news, my American Express Commercial has been renewed for another 13 weeks!
Randi Rubenstein, my agent at Commercials Unlimited, called me today to let me know that I have also been cast for a Tidy Cat Print Ad that shoots on Friday!! How exciting!
Tuesday afternoon I shot the Tidy Cat commercial. What a neat experience! I arrived early to fill out my paperwork, and then went into hair and make up. When I reached wardrobe, they gave me a new cardigan to wear for the shoot. I liked the color, it really brought out my eyes.
On set I worked with two cats, including a beautiful Calico named Shelly (nickname “Diva”) who sat in my lap. Everyone was so nice and I think the commercial spot is going to turn out great!
Here is a photo of me on location, looking very much like a “Midwestern Girl”:
Super exciting news! My agent just called to tell me I BOOKED A NATIONAL COMMERCIAL FOR TIDY CAT LITTER! I am so excited! I have a wardrobe fitting on Monday and I will find out my shoot schedule tomorrow.
This is my second national commercial. Special Thanks my agent Randi at CU, to Dan Cowan at Lien/Cowan Casting for inviting me to audition, and to everyone involved in the Tidy Cat Litter Campaign for choosing me!
The Gieco Cavemen are back and funnier than ever! If you haven’t checked out “The Caveman Crib Party” at www.cavemanscrib.com, you should now! This is the only site that gives you access to the Cavemen’s “private lives”. Have fun “snooping” around their posh apartment after the biggest party of the year. If you look close enough, you will find that several of the guests left their cell phones around the house, and if you look closer you can watch video clips from the big party!
I play Sarah, a new love interest for Max (Max has been the lead character in the Gieco Caveman Commercials for the past 4 years). Below is a photo of me with The Guys (in order of appearance): Eric, Marty and Max.
