I’ve been busy with commercial and print auditions the past month, but have been behind in my posts. I want to extend my gratitude to the following casting directors for the auditions and callbacks that I’ve had recently:
Dan Cowan, Broadcast
Michael Sandford, Sanford Casting
Dan Bell, Bell Casting
Katie Taylor, Taylor Casting
Brigid McBride, McBride Casting
David Martinez, David Martinez Photography
Thank you to each of you for the opportunity to audition for your commercial or print projects. Some of you I have auditioned for in the past, a couple of you called me in for the first time.
I hope to audition for each of you again in the future.
Thank you again!

If you haven’t spotted the Tidy Cat litter Commercial that I am blessed enough to be a part of, check it out now:
Oh what a day! I had two commercial auditions today. The life of an actress at it’s best!
First stop was Broad-Cast at 9 AM. Getting out of the house in the morning is so tough now that I’m a mom. I’m sure that once I am no longer nursing, it will be a lot easier. Right now, baby girl calls the shots. But thanks to my helpful hubby, I was able to hand her off to him and get ready for the audition. Traffic was heavy on the 101, but I made it in the nick of time.
The audition was for Target. It was a short, non dialogue spot. I greeted casting associate, Hunter, who I often see at Broad-Cast and was in and out of the audition room.
Second stop was Julia Kim Casting at 4 PM. This was my first time auditioning for Julia Kim, and I love auditioning for new casting directors. This audition was for Aquafresh Toothpaste. There was a bit of a wait when I arrived. I read over the audition info and signed in. I noticed that waiting room was filled with actresses in the late 20’s – early 30’s range, as well as actresses in the 14 -16 year old range. And between you and me, any passing thought that I might have had that I could play a high school student (Hello “Glee”) has officially been put to rest. I am just too tall to start with, and standing next to one of those teens in the restroom, I really did look like a woman in my late 20’s – early 30’s. Though how old am I? I will never tell. I joke that I am 25 as long as I’m an actress. Or at the least an age range, 25-30.
I was at the audition for almost an hour, and then if was my turn. This spot was also non-dialogue and the audition was a quick one.
Overall I was very happy with both auditions. Special thanks to Casting Directors Dan Cowan and Julia Kim for the opportunity to audition!
Today I had a commercial audition at Broadcast. This was my first commercial audition since returning from Maternity Leave and I have to admit, I was a little stressed.
First of all, I have to say I LOVE auditioning at Broadcast. Everyone is so nice and they have been so sweet to me. I booked Tidy Cat and American Express Commercials through Broadcast. But I was stressing because getting out of the ouse on time with a newborn is tough. I’ve quickly learned that the baby calls the shots! And there are so many questions. Should I find a sitter for the baby? Do I take her with me to the audition? The good news, I already had plans with a girlfriend of mine, so I immediately called her, and she agreed to meet me at Broadcast and watch the baby while I auditioned. I’m a lucky gal to have such a good friend
Today’s spot was for Natural Choice. This was a fun, non-dialogue spot
Special Thanks to Dan Cowan at Broadcast for the audition
Today I had a commercial callback for Dan Cowan at Broad Cast. The callback was for GMC.
My callback was originally schedule for 4 PM. I had a busy day at work today and just happened to check my personal messages around 2:40 PM and found out my callback had been moved to 3:15 PM! Luckily I had finished my appointments for the day and was able to leave work right away. Ah, the life of an actress.
Traffic was light and I made it to the casting office on Beverly just in time! What a relief. There were a couple of ladies in the waiting room when I arrived, but I was the only pregnant woman in that time slot.
The callback was slightly different from the original audition. I’ve got to say, I still love this commercial spot, so clever. And I got a laugh from the client at the end, which is always nice.
Special thanks to Dan Cowan for the callback today!
Today I had a commercial audition for Dan Cowan at Broad Cast. Dan is a great commercial casting director and I am happy to get a call from his office any time. The audition was for GMC and the attire was upscale casual.
I walked into the casting office and was greeted by Hunter, a casting associate that I have seen many times before at Broadcast. Now I haven’t seen Hunter since I started showing, and when I walked in he exclaimed “What happened to you?” Pretty funny actually.
The audition was a non-dialogue spot and I auditioned with a guy who played my spouse. I’ve got to say, I love this spot. Very clever.
Special thanks to Dan Cowan for the audition today!
Wow! What a day. Today I had three auditions. Lucky me!
First I had a commercial audition at Ross Lacy Casting. Today’s product was Olive Garden. The attire: casual with a white button down shirt. I arrived at 200 S. La Brea and signed in for my audition. I read the sides and really liked the character. Good audition!
Next I drove over to CAZT to audition for a webisode called “Insatiable”, which was described as “Twilight meets Twin Peaks”. I auditioned for the role of Abby, a superficial, small town real estate agent with an agenda.
Lastly I had an audition at Big House Casting in Studio City for an indie film. I auditioned for the role of Carol, a sweet, pregnant wife. The only lovable character in a dysfunctional family.
Thanks to each Casting Director for the audition.
Today my commercial agent, Randi, called me to say that casting had requested me for a Sears Commercial in one hour. She asked if I could make it. I was thrilled! Of course I can make it. I knew it would be tight, but I jumped in the shower right away. I got ready really quick, and did most of my make up in the car at red lights, but I made it in time!
Today’s audition was for Dan Cowan at Broad Cast. Dan is a great casting director who calls me in often and has even booked me. I am happy to get a call from his office any time. The attire was casual young mom so I wore jeans and a Tiffany blue cardigan.
The audition was a non-dialogue spot. It was quick but fun.
Special thanks to Dan Cowan for the audition today!
I am very excited! Today I had an audition for Michael Sanford Casting. I first met Michael about almost 2 years ago at a workshop and then saw him again last fall at AIA Studios. And today he invited me to audition for the first time!
Today’s audition was for an HBO promo for True Blood. The attire: Conservative Midwest Woman. They said they were not looking for “model types”, so I wore light make up and pulled my hair back. I also wore my glasses to the audition.
I arrived at the casting office a couple minutes early wearing a conservative cardigan and skirt with pearl earrings and flats. I read the character description and the information for the scene. When it was my turn, I was paired with a guy who was to play my husband. The Casting Associate walked us through what they were looking for. He told me to “lose the glasses”, which I did.
During the audition, Michael walked in the room, it was nice to be able to say hello.
It was so nice to audition at Sanford Casting. Special thanks to Michael Sanford for the opportunity!!
Today I had a commercial audition for Dan Cowan at Broad-Cast. I am always thrilled when I have an audition at Broad-Cast.
Today’s spot was for Walmart. The character: mom in a V-Neck Shirt. This was a non-dialogue spot and I auditioned with an adorable little girl.
Today I had a commercial callback for Hershey’s at Broadcast. I was super excited, this spot is cute. I was paired with a fellow CU client named PJ and I thought we played off each other well.
They asked me if I would consider being an extra in the commercial, but I said no. It be fun, but would be a huge conflict for other commercials down the line. I hope I made the right decision.
Thanks you Dan Cowan for the audition!
Today I had a commercial audition for Casting Director, Dan Cowan, at Broad-Cast. Two audition at Broad-Cast in 1 week! I’m a lucky girl.
Today’s audition was for Hershey’s and it was a non-dialogue spot. And wow, was this a super fun spot! I auditioned with another guy and we had a lot of fun in the audition room!I am really crossing my fingers for this one. This commercial would be super fun and super cute.
Thanks again Dan for the audition!
Today I had a commercial audition for Casting Director, Dan Cowan, at Broad-Cast. I am always glad to be called in for an audition for Dan Cowan. The commercial was for KFC. The type: mom.
I ran into a slow down on La Brea on the way to the audition. I don’t know if it was a stalled vehicle, accident, or what but I was stressed out! After putting down the street, I cut down a side street and was able to get to the audition site just minutes before the audition. Not good. .
I walked in to the casting office, signed in right on the dot, and looked over the storyboards as I caught my breath. The door to the audition room opened right away and they were ready for me.
This was a non-dialogue spot and afterwards I walked out and just felt okay about my performance. Those few minutes before you go into the room are important. I like to give myself enough time to look over the material and make my choices. I’ll just have do better next time. I’ am lucky that Dan Cowan calls me in to audition for him often and he knows my work.
Thank you Dan!
Today I was called back to Broad-Cast for Expedia. I felt great about my audition! There was a variety of ages and types at the callback. Afterwards Dan Cowan asked if I could stick around and read for a different Expedia Commercial with kids.
Thanks again to Dan Cowan for calling me in!
Lucky me, I had 2 auditions today.
First audition was a commercial audition. Dan Cowan at Broadcast called me in to audition for “Expedia”. This is a great spot and I felt really good about my audition, so I am really keeping my fingers crossed for this one.
Next I was off to Bass Casting in West Hollywood to audition for a short film. The best thing is that I met Lauren Bass at a casting workshop a couple months ago and she called me in for this audition. I’m not sure if this is the best role for me, but I did my best at the audition and I hope that Lauren will call me in again.
Overall, today was a great day. I love having one audition in a day, let alone two! That’s the life of a working actress!
Today I had a commercial audition for Dan Cowan at Broad-Cast. I am always glad to be called in for an audition for Dan Cowan.
Today’s spot was for Monster.com. The attire: casual. I arrived early so I could audition before I had to work at AIA Studios. Everything was running on schedule and I was in and out.
Today my agent Randi called me with a same day commercial audition for Dan Cowan at Broad-Cast. I have been receiving more same day auditions then ever before, this is the trend in commercial auditions.
The audition was for a Jenny Craig spot with actress Valerie Bertinelli. The wardrobe: Backyard BBQ attire. I arrived at Broadcast and there was a bunch of women in the waiting room. Some in dresses, some in shorts. I was wearing khaki capris and a peach shirt. My favorite casting associate, Mark, was busy keeping the audition moving smoothly. It was a hot day in LA today, and the waiting room was quite warm.
When it was my turn, I was given three different takes for my line. I felt pretty good about the audition. Thanks Dan Cowan for the opportunity.
Today I had a commercial audition for Dan Cowan at Broad-Cast. I am always thrilled when I have an audition at Broad-Cast. Dan Cowan and everyone in the office is so nice.
Today’s spot was for Mitsubishi. I arrived early and was greeted by Mark, one of the casting associates at Broadcast. Mark is great, I am always happy to see him. He always remembers my name.
The audition went really well. This is a really cute, non dialogue spot.
Special thanks to my agents at Commercials Unlimited for 2 auditions this week!
Today I was called back to Broad-Cast for the K-Mart Commercial. I felt really great about my audition! The director even said that I “nailed it”. A lot of things go into a casting. It depends on what the client is looking for and what their target market it. Still, I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one!
Special thanks to Dan Cowan for calling me in for the audition!

Today I was called back to Lien Cowan Casting for Tidy Cat. I felt great about my audition! There was a variety of ages and types at the callback. The neat thing was they had kittens for us to play with during the audition. I auditioned for the client holding the cutest silver kitten named Sky. It was a lot of fun!
Thanks again to Dan Cowan for calling me in!
