Cast and crew of the faith based film, “Alison’s Choice”
A Screening of “Alison’s Choice” was held on November 15, 2015 at Oneonta Congregational Church. My husband, Lincoln, and I hosted the screening. I contacted the local paper to get the word out and took to social media to promote the film and actors daily. Director, Bruce Marchiano, and his social media team also worked to promote the screening. I wasn’t sure how many people would attend, and frankly I was a little nervous. I had never hosted a film screening before. But the night of the screening the fellowship hall at the church quickly filled up. People drove from as far as Riverside to see the film and meet Bruce. It was also great to see so many cast and crew members in attendance. I hadn’t seen them since we filmed last January and it was great to catch up.
Our friend, Dave Schwend, popped popcorn and we offered light refreshments for all who attended. Following the screening there was a Q&A with Bruce Marchiano and cast members Chanel Marriott, Britt Prentice, Amy Lyndon, Liz Randall and myself. Bruce brought glossy 11×14 sized film posters and the cast and I autographed posters for all who attended. Overall the screening was a complete success and I walked away feeling exhilarated! Thank you to all who attended!

On Thursday night I attended “Noche Flamenca” a Red Carpet and Cocktail Event. My friend, Sandra Payne, wrote a film called “Solo Duet” which is a part of ” Girls Girls Girls”, a Film feature project that has all women directors, writers, producers, DPs and more. The trailer for “Solo Duet” was also shown. The event took place at D’Cache Restaurant in Toluca Lake, CA and included a flamenco performance by Timo Nunez, star of “Solo Duet”.
Last year Sandra gathered 5 of her Industry friends, including myself, and started a Networking Group. These amazing ladies and I are now friends and we meet up every other month or so. Here is a photo of 4 of us with Sandra at the Premiere.

On Sunday night I attended a screening and panel discussion of “The Secret Life of Bees”. The guest panelists were Actress Dakota Fanning, Director Gina Prince-Bythewood, and Professor Dr. Barbara Rico.
“The Secret Life of Bees” is a story of love, loss and the search to find acceptance. The film takes place in 1964 and introduces us to 14 year-old Lily Owens (Dakota Fanning). Lily is haunted by the memory of her mother. In an effort to learn about her mother past and to get away from her abusive father, Lily and her nanny Rosaleen (Jennifer Hudson), escape to a small town that just may hold the secret to her mother’s past. There they meet the Boatwright sisters, and as Lily learns about the family’s trade of bee keeping, she works up the courage to ask about their connection to her mother.
This was my first time watching the film, and I was mesmerized. The performances of the predominately women cast were amazing. After the film, the panelists participated in a Question and Answer session moderated by Kim Dorr, Owner of Defining Artists Talent Agency. It was so interesting to hear about the film and the work that went into taking it from book to screen. Dakota Fanning was very well spoken as she talked about creating the character of Lily.
Overall, it was an excellent evening and I highly recommend the film.

The New York Film Academy screening at Universal Studios was a success! It was so nice to see the director, Alvaro Serna, and my co-star, Jed Sura, again. Final Result, the film looked great and we received great feedback.
I am pleased with the film and will be updating my reel to include new footage from “MILK” very soon.
On Thursday I attended a screening of “The Duchess” at Paramount Studios. The screening, offered by the group Women and Film, was followed up by a Q and A with Amanda Foreman, the author of “Georgiana Duchess of Devonshire”, the book the script was based on.
The Duchess is a beautiful film. The performances given by Keira Knightley and Ray Fiennes were amazing. Keira Knightley brought such depth and vulnerability to the role of Georgiana. The story was heart-wrenching and beautifully shot. I feel compelled to read the book next!
Special Thanks to my friend and fellow actress, Debra Lynn Hull, for the invite!
I am excited to report that there will be a screening on Friday, September 19th for my latest project, “MILK”. The screening will be at Universal Studios at Screening Room #2. “MILK” is a MFA project for the New York Film Academy that I filmed at the end of May. I play the lead role, Anna.
